Key Responsibilities

  • JOB PROFILE
    • We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated European Expat Supervisor Mechanic with a strong background in mechanics, particularly with heavy machinery, who can lead and manage a diverse team. The ideal candidate will have international experience, ideally in large-scale projects or mining, and be comfortable working abroad for extended periods.
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Oversee and manage a team of local mechanics to ensure optimal performance and maintenance of heavy machinery.
    • Conduct inspections and ensure the equipment is maintained according to company standards and safety guidelines.
    • Provide preventive maintenance and execute repairs for various heavy earth-moving machines.
    • Act as the liaison between the back office (buyers, admin, logistics) and the team of mechanics on site.
    • Develop and implement efficient work schedules and ensure the team operates effectively.
    • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
    • Regularly travel to visit and inspect workshops within GCC
    • Report directly to the Workshop Manager regarding progress, challenges, and team performance.

Qualifications

A minimum of secondary education in mechanics (automotive or similar field) or equivalent experience.

At least 5 years of experience as a mechanic, with preference given to experience with heavy machinery and earth-moving equipment.

Fluency in English (both written and spoken).

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and punctuality.

Flexibility and ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.

Ability to manage and oversee teams, ensuring effective workflow and productivity.

Willingness to relocate and work abroad for an extended period.

Previous experience on a large international project or the same industry is highly preferred.
