Job Profile

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Officer to manage our warehouse operations specializing in heavy equipment spare parts, personal protective equipment (PPE), and industrial consumables. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory control, warehouse safety, and logistics coordination, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to stock management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Operations

Oversee the day-to-day warehouse functions including receiving, storing, issuing, and dispatching of goods to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Inventory Management

Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ensuring timely updates and regular reconciliations.

  • Stock Handling

Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of heavy equipment spare parts, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other consumables in line with industry standards.

  • Stock Audits

Conduct periodic stock audits, cycle counts, and spot checks to maintain high inventory accuracy and minimize variances.

  • Spare Parts Identification

Use electronic spare parts catalogues to accurately identify, verify, and track inventory items and ensure correct documentation.

  • Interdepartmental Coordination

Collaborate with the procurement and maintenance departments to anticipate and fulfill the demand for critical parts and supplies.

  • Team Supervision

Supervise, train, and guide junior storekeepers and warehouse assistants to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.

  • Safety & Compliance

Enforce adherence to safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Reporting

Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports on stock levels, stock discrepancies, warehouse activities, and performance metrics.

  • Documentation

Maintain proper documentation for all warehouse transactions including goods receipt notes (GRN), issue vouchers, and transfer records.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical warehouse/storekeeping role, in the heavy equipment or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of spare parts, PPE, and consumables used in industrial operations.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic spare parts catalogues and inventory systems.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
